Thurgood Marshall Elementary School PTA

Yahoo Groups and Facebook Terms of Use

In order to keep its listserv professional, valuable, and useful for all subscribers, the TMES PTA has established these policies for anyone posting to the listserv:

  • Do not use our listserv for conducting any private business or commercial activity. Commercial activities include, but are not limited to, promotional announcements and advertising for which you have a financial interest.
  • Ensure the messages you post to this list are appropriate for this list. Inappropriate discussions take up valuable space on the listserv, and distract subscribers away from more meaningful posts.
  • Only reply to the listserv when appropriate. Email the person directly if the information isn’t appropriate for the entire group.
  • Subscribers are expected to exercise both common sense and courtesy in the messages they transmit over the listserv.
  • Do not use the listserv to defame or disparage anyone.
  • Do not challenge or attack the opinions or information presented by others.
  • Maintain a civil tone on this listserv at all times.
  • No Political campaigning: The listserv cannot be used for political campaigning. The TMES PTA is exempt from federal income taxes because it is a non-partisan non-profit organization. Political issues, however, can be discussed.

  • **If you have gmail as your e-mail provider, you may not see your e-mail post as gmail recognizes the sender and saves this message only in your SENT folder. Please do not send your message multiple times. If you would like to verify that your message sent, please contact the administrator or ask a friend.
